Regular corn has a protein level of 10. While distiller's grain has a protein of 24 (same ref), the below says sprouted corn has a protein percentage of 25. Also, the bulk doubles. So it's cheaper to sprout your corn, feed it to your cattle and halve your costs.
Just means building a sprouting table where you can water and drain your sprouts every 8 hours, then a method for emptying each table for use. Simple setup: put buckets of corn under a timed faucet (solenoid valve) which fills the bucket (use float valve as well) every eight hours. Drain in bucket (with screen) lets water out (can be recycled) in a few minutes (half-hour) once the bucket is filled.
So, skip the beer making and alcohol distillation. Simply sprout the grain and get better gains for less feed.
