Your thoughts control the money in your pocket – or the lack of it.
That is the central point of this all-time classic bestseller from Napoleon Hill.
Having sold somewhere over 37 million copies, it is the result of 20 years interviewing over 500 world leaders of that period to discover a simple and personal philosophy of success which anyone can apply.
That this little book continues to sell well today is a tribute to the workability of it’s premise.
In only 13 points, Hill lays out how you can start today in casting off your fears of poverty and start achieving any amount of income you could want or need.
But the principles also go far beyond that – and actually can help you achieve any improved condition for your health, relationships, or peace of mind…
First published in 1937, this is the end product of two decades of research conducted by Napoleon Hill. His research started when Andrew Carnegie (the steel tycoon who was then the richest man on earth) gave him the assignment of organizing a Philosophy of Personal Achievement.
Hill, who was a poor journalist, armed with just an introductory letter from Carnegie, set out to interview over five hundred successful people including Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, John D. Rockefeller, George Eastman, William Wrigley Jr. and Charles M. Schwab.
His philosophy is universal. The riches he referred to were more than money, for the Philosophy of Personal Achievement can be applied to anything in life.
Hill was well ahead of his time. This book has a chapter dedicated to some of today’s most important issues – Specialized Knowledge, Decision Making, Imagination and Organized Planning (in which he deals with Leadership). He also has principles for Teamwork, Creative Vision, Health, etc.
There are thousands of self-help books out in the market and hundreds of self proclaimed “gurus” who have made a living by copying the wisdom in Hill’s books. There is not much in them that Hill has not already written about. You would be well to concentrate on quality over quantity in selecting books for your own personal development library. Read and re-read, over and over, and this book will show you more and more secrets hidden in your own mind.
Napoleon Hill spent over 20 years interviewing the most successful men of his time and then put the findings of his study; the characteristics of the most successful people in Think & Grow Rich. The fact is that successful people think differently. This is why a multi-millionaire can lose his entire net worth and have it all back in five years or less while unsuccessful people plod along and never amass any real level of wealth or success.
Hill states that when the secret appears to you, whether it be in the first ten pages or on the 200th page, that is when your life will change. This is when you are ready for it.
Think & Grow Rich is a must read for all those who want success and are ready for it. I have known people who read the book and never got it. Not surprisingly, these people have never achieved very much in life either. If you don’t get it…you don’t get it. Hill’s classic only works if you apply what you read. The title can be misleading. You do need to think and by re-progamming your mind with these time tested and proven techniques, you will become rich.
Although this book has been around since the 30’s, it is still head and shoulders above the others.
Having sold somewhere over 37 million copies, Napoleon Hill was constantly working to improve his bestseller. Until recently, it still contained a flaw which kept many people from fully realizing the book’s promise.
James Breckenridge Jones taught Hill’s work and developed the missing formula which could help anyone become a millionaire – and built a national business in just four years that put tens of thousands on the road to personal prosperity and abundance.
In fact, this book has been known as the textbook for millionaire makers – and has been used to train the likes of Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar, Tony Robbins, and Mary Kay Ash – each of which became multi-millionaires in their own right.
This collection was created with your own prosperity in mind.
If you learn, study, and apply these natural laws and principles, there is no limit to achieving your dreams.
You can be anything you’ve ever wanted to be. You can have any thing you’ve ever wanted to have.
